Merseytravel has Christmas covered!

YOU will go a long way with a Saveaway.

All over the Liverpool city region, up to Southport, across to Ormskirk, over to Wirral and down to Chester. And that's not forgetting all over the great city itself.

Exhausted already?

No one is suggesting you tackle all that in one day, but with the Christmas shopping and celebration season officially here – there is no better opportunity to enjoy some of the best retail and restaurant destinations in the North of England - starting at a bargain price of £3.30*

Forget the de-icer and the sky-high parking fees and leave the driving to someone else. Hop onto the sharp and punctual Merseyrail network, or let one of the frequent buses or ferries take the strain.

- Discover why shopping for gifts in Liverpool city centre has never been so glamorous.

- Get into the Victorian Christmas spirit as you stroll along the picturesque Lord Street in Southport.

- Have an awayday of retail therapy at Cheshire Oaks.

- Sample the wow factor in the splendid Roman city of Chester itself.

- Take in a panto at the Empire (Pamela Anderson); rock and roll it with Sleeping Beauty at the Everyman or get out and about to the Southport Theatre, New Brighton's Floral Pavillion or St Helens Theatre Royal.

- Treat yourself to a slap up festive feast at one of the region's restaurants – and raise a glass to the money and hassle you've saved.

- Get around to all your loved ones and celebrate without the car.

*For just £3.30 (£1.90 young people) Saveaways cover either one big zone: Liverpool, St Helens, Wirral or Southport/Formby, or for £4. 50 (£2.30 young people) you have all the freedom to go as far as Chester, Ellesmere Port and Ormskirk on an All Zones ticket

You can buy them at all staffed rail stations on the Merseyrail network, Merseytravel Centres, some libraries and over 400 corner shops across Merseyside.

All year round, all day long (after 9.30am) and at weekends and bank holidays, the Saveaway is, quite simply the only way to travel.

*Terms and conditions apply. For more information please call call 0871 200 22 33 and speak to helpful Traveline staff 364 days a year or click here

The Saveaway Ticket Scheme is organised and operated by Merseytravel, 24 Hatton Garden, Liverpool L3 2AN. Tickets remain the property of Merseytravel and are issued subject to the bye-laws, regulations and conditions of each undertaking on whose vehicles, vessels or premises they are used.
