Own Your Own is a shared equity scheme created by ECF, the developers of St Paul's Square. It's a scheme that allows you to move into your new home for 80% of the purchase price. The remaining 20% is secured against the property by a second charge and is interest and rent free for a period of up to 10 years. It's all about bridging the gap between the deposit you have (minimum 5%) and the deposit you need.

It's similar to the Government's Homebuy Direct scheme which ended in September 2010. But with Own Your Own you have up to 10 years to repay the remaining outstanding interest-free amount.
