SERVICES giant Amey has taken 65,000 sq ft of space at the former Bryant and May factory in Speke, in a deal being hailed as biggest private letting in the Liverpool region this year.
The letting, at the Matchworks site, is equivalent to approximately one-third of the entire reported take-up across the Liverpool region last year, say landlords Urban Splash.
Amey has added 16,000 sq ft to its existing space at Matchworks.
Urban Splash asset management boss Claire Thomas said: “This letting surpasses many in the region this year and is equivalent to approximately one third of the entire take up of all of the suburban regions in 2013 combined. Completing transactions of this scale reinforces the growing confidence in the market and drives employment within the local area. It is very encouraging to see massive corporations like Amey decide to anchor themselves here.
