Liverpool Music Week is upon us. We've already namechecked some of the more mainstream stuff going down, and had over 1,000 entries in our competitions to win tickets for some of the bigger gigs.
But if you didn't win, or you just don't want to be part of a surging mob yelling "I Predict a Riot", then Liverpool Music Week, unplugged, is for you: a whole host of great live music taking place in the cities nooks, crannies and crevices. Here's a small helping hand...
The musical week started off in scintillating form last night with Mellowtone at Cafe Latte, South Hunter Street - highlights coming from The Cubical. If you missed that gig, there's plenty more where that came from in the week ahead, starting tonight at 3345 on Parr Street, 3345's intimate environment, coupled with its location next to the famous Parr Street studios, make the gigs here on Tuesday (4th) and Thursday (6th), even better. Names to look out for on these dates include Ernie's Rhythm Section - an outstanding Delta blues group, and talented Norwegian singer-songwriter, Kristian Park.
Doors open at 8pm.
On Friday (7th), the best musical line up is said to be at LEAF, at the Static Gallery on Roscoe Lane. Check out the beautiful folk vocals of Ragz, while The Prelude and Kaya are also well worth a listen.
Doors open at 6.30pm.
