OMEGA TO OPEN IN MANCHESTER: The luxury Swiss watch and jewellery brand is opening its first boutique outside of London as the Trafford Centre. The new 85sqm boutique will offer both new and classic Omega collections including watches, fine jewellery, and the recently introduced leather collection. Ambassadors for the brand include George Clooney, Nicole Kidman and Cindy Crawford, none of whom we’re expecting to put in an appearance at the store’s launch party, but we’ll keep you posted.

MEN SWEAT, WOMEN GLOW: A new study by Japanese researchers, published in the Experimental Physiology journal, has confirmed that men sweat much more (and better) than women. Participants were split into 'trained' and 'untrained' groups and asked to pedal non-stop for an hour. Men who were physically fit sweated more readily than anyone else, and males in general, also appeared to benefit more from physical training than women.

MORE SEX AND THE CITY? Sarah Jessica Parker has hinted there may be a third Sex and the City movie, despite less than pleasing reviews from the second installment. The actress told New York Magazine: “You never know what will happen with that particular franchise. It's less about the reviewers than it is about the audience, and they’ve been pretty true, so we tend to listen to them more than anybody else. So we’ll see. Who knows.”
