Strictly Confidential: Il Forno dining deal

Classy Italian offers two courses (including any pizza from a 28-strong menu) plus a glass of wine for just £15

Published on April 28th 2010.

Strictly Confidential: Il Forno dining deal

Il Forno prides itself on making some of the best pizzas you are likely to find in the city centre - and some of the tastiest Italian pasta dishes to boot.

Perhaps it's that huge fire breathing, wood burning oven - right in the centre of things – that gives this relaxed and good looking restaurant the edge on taste: For this is an authentic Italian food experience – complete with lots of real Italian style – and you just won't find that in any city centre pizza chain.

Sip a glass of red or chilled white and enjoy a mouthwatering starter of mixed bruscetta, marinated and roasted vegetables with goats cheese, or Parma ham and refreshing cool melon.

Then it's treat time as you navigate a menu of no fewer than 28 pizzas, from the traditional Quattro Stagioni or Pregiata (an Il Forno classic) to the Diavola (a spicy favourite). What else? Well, a raft of delicious combinations in between.

Or how about a deep, warming bowl of orecchiette con broccoli - pasta, with cherry tomatoes, garlic and broccoli, or a generous, spicy breast of chicken – Rolle di Pollo alla Diavola – to turn up the heat a notch?

Il Forno has teamed up with Liverpool Confidential to offer our readers the chance to enjoy two courses and a glass of something from an exclusive Strictly Confidential menu devised for the whole month of May (click here to see it). And all you are paying is £15.

That's a starter and a main course and a drink – it's great value. Separately ordered from Il Forno's a la carte menu, these items would cost around £21.

It's a lovely way to spend a summer evening (we did just that last week) or a lunch time.

This offer runs every day and evening throughout May 2010 (until 9pm, Sun-Thurs, until 7pm, Fri-Sat and every lunchtime - seven days). BUT reservations are limited are bound to go quickly.

So don't spend too much time making your mind up - save that for picking a pizza!
