An exclusive feast at Il Forno just for you

You might not know it, looking at that massive, signature wood fired oven with its big mouth, bang in the middle of the restaurant, but Il Forno is about much more than pizza.

Yes, yes, yes, we know they are among the best you'll find, but now's the time to remind all of you 'in the know' people about Il Forno's other considerable gastronomic charms – particularly when it comes to fish, meat and, of course pasta.

The smart Duke Street restaurant, already one of the city's most popular Italians, has devised an exclusive menu for you and only you, the Liverpool Confidential readers.

For the next fortnight only, you can sample three delicious courses, plus two glasses of wine, for a tantalising £23.50 each.

We did just that last week, just to make sure, and predict a treat of an evening with a range of dishes as generous, appetising and refreshing as this superb value, two-week event.

Starting this Wednesday, January 27, and running until Wednesday, February 10, the Il Forno Strictly Confidential deal is bound to be in demand.

2 glasses of house wine per person


Prosciutto e melone
Slices of melon draped with cured Italian ham


Bresaola con rucola servita con crostoni di pane al parmiggiano
Air dried fillet of beef served with rocket and a parmesan crouton


Gamberoni all’Aglio
Tiger prawns, pan fried in garlic, olive oil, chilli and tomato served with toasted croutons


Rigatoni all’amatriciana
Rigatoni with tomato, pancetta, onion, basil and freshly grated pecorino Romano cheese


Petto di Pollo Alla Milanese
Pan fried chicken breast coated in breadcrumbs and served with spaghetti al pomodoro


Spaghetti alla carbonara
Spaghetti with eggs, pancetta, parmesan, crushed peppercorns and a dash of cream
Served with a wild rocket and parmesan salad


Penne all’arrabbiata
Penne with tomatoes, garlic, chilli, basil and olive oil
