PICK a word, any word. Shout it to actor Trev Fleming and he will create a scene.
Do it 300 times and he will create 300 scenes - and in a public space too.
This is not a marathon tantrum - although there will be plenty of drama - and Trev swears nothing like this has ever been done before in the UK.
The show is called 300 and it takes place this Saturday evening at 81a Renshaw St.
Over 300 minutes, Northern Ireland born Trev, a familiar face on Liverpool’s cultural scene plans to improvise 300 scenes using 300 distinct characters inspired by 300 single word suggestions from the audience.
Trev has worked with performers from some of the world’s best improv companies including Die-Nasty Canada, Rapid Fire Theatre, Austentatious, Showstopper: The Musical, Extemporae Theatre and The School of Night. He lost both of his parents to cancer and, as such, all money raised from the gig will go to North West Cancer Research.
The event will be split into six one hour slots. A random word will be called out every minute. From this single word Trev will create a brand new character in a brand new scene. Aiding him throughout will be various members of acting troupe Impropriety, but only Trev will be attempting to go the full distance.
The performance, suitable for 14yrs+, will consist of six 50 minute episodes starting hourly at 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm, with a ten minute breaks for audience and performers alike.
*300, 81a Renshaw St, Liverpool, Saturday March 7, 4pm-9pm. Tickets £3 for a single episode or £12 for the full six hours. Available on the door, cash only. Donations can be made through www.justgiving.com/Trev-Fleming.
