SHAUN Ryder and I Am Kloot are amongst the latest stars to sign up for Chester Rocks. The ambitious, new, two day outdoor music festival will take place at Chester Racecourse on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July.
The line- up already has punk legend Iggy Pop, Taio Cruz, McFly, The Saturdays, Sugababes, The Wanted, Eliza Doolittle, The Christians and Stephen Langstaff. Then there’s The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Echo and The Bunnymen, Lightning Seeds, and Tommy Scott and the Red Scare.
Mersey stars The Christians will also joining the line-up, as will The Australian Pink Floyd Show.
Gary ChristianOrganisers are hoping that the festival will attract 40,000 people and, along with an extra race meeting on Saturday, June 11, will see Chester Racecourse deliver £20m economic benefit to the city for the first time ever.
The race company is holding an open day on April 3 to recruit 850 people to deliver the expanding programme.
