Passport to Tony Hawks film screening

ARE you or any of your local friends, family or colleagues Moldovan?

Well anyway, if they are then the comedian Tony Hawks would love to hear from you. The first two Moldovan nationals who to turn up at FACT for the 4pm special screening of his movie, Playing the Moldovans at Tennis, on Saturday July 21 will be awarded a pair of tickets to watch his new film at Picturehouse.

You have to bring your passport, they know what some of you are like.

Hawks, who produced and co-directed the film and will be attending this special screening,  including a Q&A with the audience after the film. Find out more.

Playing the Moldovans at Tennis is an independent British feature film based on the best-selling book.

It tells the true story of Tony Hawks, who attempts to win a silly bet in order to gather material for a light-hearted new book, but becomes embroiled in an uplifting and life-changing adventure. "This eccentric story is both blissfully funny and sincerely heartfelt, as Tony is challenged to track down the entire Moldovan international football team and beat them - one at a time - at tennis!"

All profits from the screening and book sales will go towards the care home for severely disabled children that Tony founded in Chisinau, Moldova.

The film stars Tony Hawks, Anatol Durbala, Stephen Frost, Angus Deayton, Morwena Banks, Pat Cash, Laura Solon, Alistair McGowan, Igor Babiac, Ana Chrita, Silvia Luca, Viorel Cornescu and Inda Surdu.

*Playing the Moldovans at Tennis, special  screening with Tony Hawks Q and A, Saturday July 21, 4pm, FACT Picturehouse, Wood Street, Liverpool, L1.

Two Blondes walk into a kitchen. "I like your fridge," the first one says. The second one frowns. "It's okay, I guess. But I think it's broken," she says. "Yesterday I put my milk in there and it melted the bottle!"
