Manchester in Fashion

We look ahead to a week of labels and love

Published on September 22nd 2008.

Manchester in Fashion

We’ve had New York and London fashion weeks and now it’s the turn of Manchester to host a week of fashion and lifestyle culture, fusing together all aspects of the city’s fashion scene.

Urbis will be the stage for the fashion forward from 2-5 October. Catwalk shows brimming with designer and vintage pieces will inspire your Autumn/Winter 2008 wardrobe along with plenty of hair and beauty buys.

Designers already confirmed to show at the event include Flannels presenting a range of Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Gucci, Melissa Odabash, Ducie, Rags to Bitches, Me & Yu, Unique Boutique, Bracher Emden, Ringspun, Elvis Jesus and Frocky Wocky Doo Dah to name a few.

On top of this Manchester in Fashion along with Manchester Fashion Network have launched a programme of talks on of course, all things fashion. Wayne Hemingway, David Mallon (The General Store), Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Manchester Arndale will be contributing.

Love Fashion talks will specifically bring tips on this season’s best buys. Here at Manchester Confidential we will be mapping out the city’s best fashion boutiques. There will also be a trend presentation on what every man must wear, lessons on customising your clothes from Rags to Bitches and a style-your-own-accessories session courtesy of Manchester Craft Mafia.
