IT'S got 100 iron men and now it's got 100 iron brews.
Micro breweries and cider makers across the UK are heading for the beautiful South Sefton coastline for the first ever Waterloo Beer Festival.
For three hot summer nights next month, the Waterloo Beer Festival is set to become THE ONLY destination for those who crave the craft's finest real ales – from seasoned stout lovers to newbie festival goers.
Running from Thursday July 1 right through to Saturday July 3, expect more than 100 of the very best brews on tap - with a strong showing from the North West and even more from carefully chosen micro breweries around Britain. And don't forget a huge range of fresh and zesty ciders and perries from English producers to whet your appetite.
Beer festivals, as their legions of fans will attest, are an extremely popular way to drink, eat and be merry, coupled with great food and live entertainment.
This one, taking place in the beautiful, cool sandstone surroundings of Old Christ Church, Waterloo Road, is all that and more.
Organised by the Liverpool Organic Brewery it even promises 2 large TV screens so you won't have to choose between it and another great event – the World Cup.
But a word of warning: Tickets are snapped up extremely quickly for these events, which only hold a limited capacity of people for each session, and we expect this inaugural event to be a sell-out.
So here's the important bit: You can only buy advance tickets for the Waterloo Beer Festival through Liverpool Confidential.
