With all the big names booked for Liverpool Music Week, it's a testament to The Chemical Brothers' enormity that they're being talked of as the highlight of the festival. There are certainly numerous reasons to back up that claim.
The duo have been together 15 years, continuously reinventing their sound and breathing fresh life and innovation into their music. They're one of the few dance/electronic acts that can fill arenas, never mind the thousands upon thousands of festival revellers that they delight every year.
Their spectacular performances incorporate psychedelic images (not always what you want), strobe lights and lasers. On top of all that, their back catalogue is immense, featuring such classic tunes as 'block rockin' beats', 'hey boy hey girl', and 'galvanise'.
After raving about them incessantly, you're probably relieved to hear we have a pair of tickets to give away for their gig at Aintree on the 9th December. On top of that, we're going to throw in some tickets for Indie/Electronica band, New Young Pony Club.
The band say, "we marry the dance ethic with the pop ethic, and make something that you can dance to and sing along to". If you like singing and, indeed, dancing, fill in your details into the form below and you could be throwing shapes to The Chemical Brothers and The New Young Pony Club very soon.
