Win tickets to see Mr Hudson and the Library

Win tickets to see Mr Hudson and the Library

Judging by his pictures, Mr Ben Hudson fancies himself as a bit of a dandy. But you might be surprised to learn that this blonde and apparently well-spoken chap – who combines baggy blue denims with waistcoats and trilby hats – is a key player in the UK hip-hop scene.

Yes. This unassuming and completely charming (it says here) Oxford graduate happens to be a beat-maker who has worked with such maverick music types as Sway and Dizzee Rascal. But you would never believe it to hear Mr Hudson's sound.

Or, as his PR blurb goes: “To hell with you if you have a problem with a middle class boy, who studied English Lit at Oxford and who has a fine line in hat wear. It's your problem, not his, if you can't square it with yourself that he also loves hip hop, reggae and soul and devours the arts whenever he gets a spare moment. Reading the classics, walking on the heath playing music and being with those he holds dear is what matters. Mr Hudson is unashamed and unapologetic. It is simply who he is.” Oooooooh!

But despite this frilly talk, Mr Hudson and the Library are actually rather catchy and you can find this out for yourself when they stop off in Liverpool next month as part of a tour to promote their new album, A Tale of Two Cities. They will be playing the Carling Academy 2 on Wednesday May 4th and you can buy tickets here.

But do you want to go along for free? Yes? We have a pair of tickets to give away.

Fill in your details below and you could be a winner.Competition closes Tuesday May 1.
