Mark Ronson's got his finger in more pies that Mr Kipling.
More recently his album Version featured re-worked versions of songs by artists such as Radiohead, The Zutons and Kaiser Chiefs. He's also credited with the production behind hot albums by Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen as well as helping the likes of Christina Aguilera and Robbie Williams.
On top of this, he's also a competent musician and a well lauded DJ. Showoff.
Mr Ronson will be playing at Bandstand, a new indoor festival which offers a mixture of music, comedy and performance and promises to be rather bloody brilliant.
After launching in London on May 3, Bandstand makes only its second stop a week later in Liverpool.
The event is being organised by Radio One DJ Rob da Bank, the pioneer behind the popular Bestival festival in the Isle of Wight. He's also the founder of Sunday Best, primarily a record label but it also stages regular club nights and is the flagship organisation behind Bestival.
Also confirmed for the Liverpool gig are The Cuban Brothers, Kissy Sell out and local act The Troubadours.
Naturally we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away worth £50. Fancy them? Fill in the boxes below.
