Band on the Wall will present what could be the city’s reggae highlight of the year next month. Jamaican roots singer Horace Andy performs there on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 April. Confidential has a pair of tickets to one of the shows to give away.
Horace Andy has produced some of reggae’s most beautiful vocals on hits including ‘You Are My Angel’, ‘Government Land’ and ‘Skylarking’. Collaborating with Trip-Hop pioneers Massive Attack, he contributed to all five of their albums – most notably on 'Mezzanine' and on their 2010 release ‘Heligoland’.
With his distinctive vocals being heard around the world, Horace continues to be one of reggae’s brightest voices. Accompanied by his long-time band Dub Asante, the Massive Attack vocalist will perform from 9pm. Tickets cost £20 and can be bought here.
