THERE are Facebook groups celebrating their talent, if that sort of thing impresses you, but even if it doesn't, legions of fans around the real world and around the web world can't be wrong!
People, young and more mature, are still impressed after all this time by The Wild Swans, much enjoyed and celebrated band from around here the early 1980s. Now they are live on stage this week for the first time in 21 years.
Liverpool Confidential did an interview a few weeks ago here , but without further ado, let's give two pairs of tickets away to see the band this Thursday, at Static Gallery.
Friday is apparently sold out.
The line-up includes founder Paul Simpson, Les Pattinson from Echo and The Bunnymen, Henry Priestman and Ricky Maymi from The Brian Jonestown Massacre, who have been rehearsing solidly the last week in Parr Street. Sounds like it's going to be good. Intimate, but good, with lots of people coming out of the old 1982 woodwork to witness it, and energetic young uns travelling from the US. Even.
There are limited tickets for the Thursday show. And if you want some (they are £15), contact Probe in Slater Street, or the Static Gallery, at 23 Roscoe Lane, L1, 0151 707 8090 or here.
But if you fancy chancing your arm on a free pair, we have got two sitting here. Fill in your details below and we'll ring you, if we pick you, on Wednesday afternoon.
