Last year, Electrik in Chorlton hosted the likes of Robert Owen Brown, Gabriel’s Kitchen’s Peter Booth and Mary-Ellen McTague and Laurence Tottingham from Aumbry at its regular Guestrant night. February 14 sees its return for 2011 with Deanna Thomas stepping into the kitchen to cook up a feast, and Confidential has got a pair of tickets to give away.
As the founder of North Star Delicatessen in Chorlton, Deanna Thomas is very passionate about good food. She worked as a pastry chef for Andrew Nutter before setting up her own catering business.
Drawing upon her love of food from many different cultures, Deanna is hoping to create an evening of delicious dishes this Valentine’s Day. The menu won’t be typical Valentine’s cuisine with Deanna herself referring to the event as a ‘non-Valentine's Valentine’s night'. The set-up isn't designed for smoochy couples either – diners sit around communal tables. (Could be good for finding romance as well as celebrating it.)
If you’re looking for something different to do this Valentine’s Day then from 7.30pm, Electrik is the place to be. Tickets cost £25 in advance and it’s a first come first served. For more information call 0161 881 3315 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
