Win a luxury Spanish hamper

LIVERPOOL Confidential wandered into Lunya this week. It says it is the UK's first Catalonian fusion deli and restaurant. That's hot spicy sausage, what more do you need to know? A lot more.

Lunya is a handsome place. A thoughtfully stocked deli, packed high to the rafters in College Lane, (behind the Bluecoat) with all manner of food and drink treats.

Butifarra con Naranja – black sausage with orange peel; Enrich Rovira chocolate covered crystallised violet petals; Moritz Beer – the only place in the UK selling it; Liquor43 – Spain's national liqueur made with vanilla and 43 ingredients, hence the name. Hhow about Joselito ham – the best ham I the world, they say; Nardin cold smoked anchovies; spider crab pate; fresh padron peppers; tarta de Santiago; Monte Enebro cheese – the 2006 winner in the world cheese of the year?

We were only in there for five minutes and were being plied with sangria (no, not that horrible stuff you used to find at parties) and being ordered by the affable owner Peter Kinsella to go on, have another olive.

Then there is the 150-cover tapas and a la carte restaurant, looking good, but that's for another day.

We said, “let's share the love of this lovely deli with all of our lovely readers.” Peter said, “Ok, what do you want?”

“Four hampers to give away in a competition,” we said. “Right you are,” he replied. And here they are. Yes, four lucky readers can be in with a chance of each winning £50's worth of treats in this super competition today.

Each contains: Enrich Rovira Chocolate Covered pork Scratchings; Bottle of Vallemayor Rioja; Roncal Cheese; Tin of baby sardines; Habas Picantes – spiced fried baby broad beans; Kikones – salted fried giant corn kernels; Ouse Valley Greengage Conserve; Uncle Alberts Barnsley pork scratchings; Jabugo Iberico Bellota ham; Fine Cheese Co. fig crackers; Canarian Island Mojo Rojo sauce; Picos de pan breadsticks; Fuet con Cerveza (Catalan sausage with stout).

Enter, enter, in the box below, telling us why you could do with a little Spanish treat, and we will draw the entries next Friday, April 30. Lunya is at 18 College Lane, Liverpool. See www.lunya.co.uk
