SITUATED in the Historic Old Haymarket building right at the end of Victoria Street, The River Bar and Grill is a continental style restaurant with modern interior, wooden floors, ash woodwork and spot lighting creating a bright and airy feel. Seating 45 people inside and another 50 in the covered and heated patio - the River's al fresco dining area is one of the largest in the city centre and great for a family meal.
The River is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with menus carefully designed by Head Chef Gerard Hogan. The River Bar & Grill's menu has a modern European theme and, to ensure the best quality, Gerard has built up solid relationships with many local producers and suppliers.
The beef, for the now famous River Burger, is sourced from prime grass fed Hereford stock, and it's the same for the fantastic chargrilled steaks.
All dishes are freshly prepared with ingredients coming in daily.
