IF YOU thought floristry was just about wrapping a sheet of see-through plastic around some daffodils and sticking a ribbon on it, you need to have a look at this prize from Fletcher and Foley.
The team there transform flowers into art – creating bouquets that show off the beauty of the blooms in unusual ways.
The bouquet that can be won here is hand-tied using a European wirework frame technique. It's rarely seen in the shops because it takes a long time to get right.
The flowers are Amnesia and Grand Prix roses with gerberras, eustoma and trailing ivy. It normally costs about £75 due to the skill and effort involved in creating it. But one Confidential reader will win it for free.
Fletcher and Foley put together beautiful creations like this at their shop in Sale Moor.
They also do more traditional arrangements – from big romantic bouquets of roses and lupins, to a simple bunch of sweet peas in a jug. Part of their appeal is that they use British flowers whenever possible – so their displays look natural and seasonal rather than artificial and exotic.
They do weddings, corporate flowers, sympathy flowers, gifts – and flowers just for the sake of having flowers. Go and have a look at their shop on Old Hall Road, Sale Moor.
