Win a beginners magic course at Illusions Magic Bar

Illusions is a new magic bar that opened recently in the Printworks. As well as free magic shows every night, and some very lethal-looking Magic Wand cocktails for groups, they do classes for aspiring magicians. Here's your chance to win one for you and a friend. And there's a great second prize of a Magic Wand cocktail for six and reserved seating for any Saturday night.

The first prize is a one-day course that'll teach you some very impressive tricks. We're not talking disappearing acts involving scantily-clad assistants, or escaping from locked boxes in giant fish tanks. It's more low-level magic – the type of thing that has people wide-eyed and curious when you casually start to show off your skills at parties.

You'll learn card tricks, coin tricks, business card magic, rope magic, sponge ball magic and the oldest trick in the world...the Cup and Balls. This one's a bit more complex so it'll be an intro only. You can't expect to become a master wizard overnight, you know.

The course is run by Mark Bennett – he's a member of The Magic Circle London and has over 18 years experience of the magical arts.

It's a one day course (10am-4pm) and you can decide when to take it. It's for people aged 18+ and includes refreshments but not lunch. All your props are included and you can take them home at the end (if you've not magicked them into the ether or lost them behind someone's ear).

And if you're thoroughly enchanted by it all and want to continue your training, you can carry on the course for another day at a 50% discount (just £50 rather than £100). Only if you want to, mind.

The second prize is a good one as well. You and five friends will be given a Magic Wand cocktail to share (these beasts are big enough to get you all merry) and you'll have reserved seating on any Saturday night. It's worth £45 in total. And we've got two of these packages to give away.
