Antipodean wine producer Lion Nathan is holding a tasting and dinner at the Malmaison Manchester on Friday 25 March. If you're a wine enthusiast, or if you'd like to spend an evening sipping your way through some of Australia and New Zealand’s best-loved wine, you may want to be there.
In this competition, you can win dinner for two there alongside Confidential's Gordo and Schofield, an entertaining duo who have had a great deal of experience in 'tasting' wine.
Also at the dinner will be Sam Patten, Lion Nathan’s UK representative. He'll be bigging up the Aussie and Kiwis' contribution to the wine world, and skilfully side-stepping questions about their recent defeat in the Ashes.
Lion Nathan wineries craft fine wines of character and of place. For them, it's all about the relationship between the vineyard, vine, elements of nature and the subtle skills of the winemaker. It's a complex balancing act that yields fine wines expressive of their site and region.
At the dinner you'll enjoy six wines from six wineries spread from South Australia to New Zealand. It's a rare chance to taste such a different range of styles and grape varieties at one sitting – while dining on five courses of the Malmaison's excellent food.
Welcome drinks and canapés will be served from 6.30pm. The dinner and wine tasting will begin at 7pm. Tickets cost just £40 per person – to book please call the hotel events team on 0161 278 1080 or email events.manchester@malmaison.com
Places are limited so get in there quick.
