Selfridges' wines and spirits department is the starting point for a new 'rum trail' taking place in January and February.
The Manchester Rum Trail is a guided tour of the top rum dens in the city centre. Described as 'a decadent delve into the world of rum in all its forms', it looks set to be a enlightening (and inebriating) night out. And we've got ten pairs of tickets to give away.
The trail will take you around five bars including Keko Moku and Corridor. Each bar will design a rum cocktail for you and at the end of the night you'll have a Caribbean barbecue and six different rum punches at Mojo.
There'll be prizes to ensure your New Year stays as rummy as you like, and everyone who attends will receive a discount off a purchase of rum from Selfridges' wine shop.
It's being organised by The Liquorists, a union of Manchester-based bartenders keen to create a more positive experience of tasting sessions, in association with Selfridge’s.
The Manchester Rum Trail starts at 6pm at Selfridges on Thursday 20 January, Thursday 27 January, Thursday 3 February and Thursday 10 February.
Tickets cost just £24.50 per person and are available from www.selfridges.com. Alternatively ask a member of the wine store team in Selfridges or send an email to rumtrail@gmail.com.
We've got 10 pairs of tickets to give away – five pairs for the event on 3 February and five pairs for the event on 10 February.
