ONE of Liverpool’s most successful ever plays reopens on 10 July for the final time at Royal Court Liverpool. Brick Up The Mersey Tunnels has broken box office records in its previous three outings in the city, and is back for another run which will be its last for the foreseeable future.
Having sold a combined 100,000 tickets for its 2006, 2007 and 2008 runs the play has been seen by more people than any other Liverpool show in the last three years. Once this run has finished, the Royal Court has no plans for a fifth run so this could be the last chance to see it.
Dickie Lewis, Nick Walton, and Gerard “Gelegnite” Gardner are three men who have had enough. Fed up with being looked down on and mocked by the self proclaimed upper class from the Wirral peninsula, they decide to take the law into their own hands. The Kingsway Three will not be tolled!
So popular is the show that the Royal Court got wind that counterfeit tickets were on sale this week, be warned. Only buy them from them.
Meantime, we have four for a VIP table up for grabs in today's competition, but can assure you they are strictly legit.
Although some shows are sold out, there are still tickets available for shows throughout the run, which ends on August 22, and they can be bought on 0870 787 1866 or at royalcourtliverpool.com
The bundle here is for the performance of Weds July 15, so if you know you can go, and you really want them, fill in the wee boxes below.
This competition has now closed. Congratulations to our winner, whose name escapes us.
