THE godfather and pioneer of hip-hop mixing and cutting, Grandmaster Flash, is moving from the streets of New York and coming to flex his skills on the MOJO decks in Liverpool on Saturday 19 November.
It's a rare chance to witness the first ever hip-hop act to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - at work in a proper club setting.
Organisers expect a fast sell-out.
It's the wrap party, or should that be rap party, for Liverpool Music Week 2011.
The legendary Flash's skills and techniques continue to inspire and influence DJs of all genres. For those around at the start of his career in the early 1980s, chances are if you only ever bought one hip-hop record it was by him and The Furious Five who were responible for massive worldwide hits like The Message and White Lines.
