After much deliberation, Livefest is moving indoors, to Mountford Hall, on Saturday August 11.
The move has been made to take account of the great British weather and the effect this has had on the Aigburth Cricket Ground. With more rain forecast, safety concerns have led the Livefest team to conclude that the best viable alternative for the festival - headlined by Sopranos themesters Alabama 3, the AC/DC loving hillbilly band Hayseed Dixie, local legends Shack and Tobias Froberg – is to move it indoors to Mountford Hall (on Liverpool University's campus).
Organisers say there will still be a real ale “tent”, housing Cains Brewery, Wapping Ales and a host of others from around the UK, and that there will still be arts and craft stalls, and much more with tempting produce and goodies. Other local talent will use the extra stages and rooms that Mountford Hall offers. It's just indoors, out of the mud.
Only the ticket price has changed: reduced to £25 to reflect the new venue. (Anyone who has bought a ticket for the original venue should contact Ticketline and Ticketweb for further info)
But you don't need to worry your heads about that, for we have five pairs to give away to LiveFest-loving Liverpool Confidential readers, worth £250 in total.
To be in with a chance of winning them, just complete the box below with your details and keep the date free for the moment. We'll be in touch with the winners soon.
