Singing and dancing, an abundance of lavatorial quips, double entendres aplenty and men in drag as standard...Yep, it's panto season. But for something a little different, the rock 'n' roll panto is in town.
The Everyman created the genre of the rock 'n' roll panto with director Bob Carlton in the early 1980s. Rightly, it has gained something of a cult following, proving a massive hit with children and adults.
For the sixth year running, the panto has been written by husband and wife writing partnership, Sarah Nixon and Mark Chatterton, with Mark also directing the show.
This year, it's the classic love story of flying carpets and magic lamps - although this particular version has been lengthened to Aladdin – Genie in the Sky with Diamonds. The setting for this modern day tale? Ancient Fazakerley, of course.
How will Aladdin use his three wishes? Will he win the hand of Princess Willow? And, most importantly, which person do we boo?
The Everyman panto is a guaranteed hoot no matter your mental age or how deep your comedy foundations run.
We'll be there. We're sure you will be too, but if you're a miser or simply enjoy free stuff, we have two pairs of tickets to give away for the performance next Thursday, November 29.
If you wish to win them, please enter your details into the form below. (unless you have a magic lamp in which case your genie will have come up with the goods already).
