We have just tasted these princely specimens with some HP Sauce on the side and, in our view, these bangers are a cracker. The beer is the subtlest of notes, the texture of the meat is spot on and the spice is right and all with a real, home made flavour.
Multi award winning butcher Howard Callaghan said: “We wanted to do something extra special that would last beyond National Sausage Week and the birthday sausage seemed the way to go. So we contacted Cains who had a Capital of Culture brew anyway. Then our spice suppliers came up with a special blend to go with the beer. We have added extra hops too.”
