WITH just weeks to go until the 2010 John Smith’s Grand National meeting momentum and excitement is mounting.
The three-day meeting, one of the biggest sporting and social events in the UK, takes place this year at Aintree Racecourse from April 8-10.
The countdown to the showcase event is well under way with tickets and hospitality sales remaining strong despite the global economic downturn.
During the three days more than 150,000 people are expected to flock to the world-famous course, to witness unmissable action.
For the first time Thursday has been titled Liverpool Day with Liverpool-inspired entertainment, sport and music; Friday is Ladies’ Day with raceday fashions providing a spectacle of colour in the Red Rum Gardens and Saturday is, of course, John Smith’s Grand National Day when spectators bid to win the world’s most celebrated steeplechase.
Julian Thick, managing director of Aintree, said: “The clock is ticking and it won’t be long before we open the gates for another memorable and action packed meeting. Tickets are selling well and we have held many of last year’s prices, which has been well received by our customers.”
Tickets can be purchased online at www.aintree.co.uk or by calling the ticket hotline on 0844 579 3001.
But anyway, if you fancy a flutter with us, you are more than welcome. We have a two pairs of tickets for both the County Road and Tatershall stands available for both Liverpool Day and Ladies Day worth over £120 in total.
If you want them, you know what to do. Closing Date: April 1.
This competition has now closed. Congratulations to our winners. Katrina Nelson. Angela Halliwell. Matt Cullinane and Valerie Boardman.
