Over the Marine Lake, in Kings Gardens, Southport, seven competitors set up their fireworks, ensure their music is in place and prepare to go head to head with dramatic displays, choreographed to music. And we're not talking Jean Michel Jarre here, either.
Using a mix of music from classical, dance, pop and rock, the British Musical Firework Championships will take your breath away. The sky over Southport will light up and be flooded with colour, Friday to Sunday, October 9-11.
This year’s three-day firework celebration will feature Dragonfire and Axholme Fireworks on Friday, October 9; A40 Fireworks, Fireworx Scotland and Essex Pyrotechnics on Saturday 10 and Star Fireworks and Fantastic Fireworks on Sunday 11.
Who will take home the British Musical Fireworks Championship title?Who cares? It's an entertaining spectacle and a great evening out.
