Described as the spiritual son of Frankie Howerd, Alan Carr is fast becoming a household name and certainly adds sparkle to the comedy circuit.
After winning a string of awards, he left his mark on the Edinburgh Fringe before embarking on tours up and down the country, making people chortle along the way with his own brand of camp innuendo humour.
Alan went on to show his talents to huge success, hosting hit Channel 4 series: The Friday Night Project (with Justin Lee Collins) and has also appeared on 8 out of 10 Cats and as a panelist on numerous Radio Four comedy shows.
However it is in stand-up that you should catch him and he will be appearing at the Philharmonic Hall, Hope Street, on Wednesday May 2 as part of a season that includes luminaries galore like Jason Donovan and Marianne Faithfull in a stunning summer line-up.
