What's a Gruffalo?
Why don't you know? His eyes are orange, his tongue is black and he has purple prickles all down his back. A bit like us last Tuesday morning.
Everyone with a child does know what a Gruffalo is. Julia Donaldson's book is is etched on the tired brain from 10,000 bedtimes idly reciting it while mentally picturing a glass of rioja just a staircase away.
For those who wish to live the dream further (The Gruffalo one that is), The Empire Theatre has teamed up with the Albert Dock and Liverpool Confidential to give two readers the chance of winning a family ticket each to BugWorld Experience, a family meal at What’s Cooking? as well as a family ticket for The Gruffalo: a performance of the award-winning picture book by Julia Donaldson that stomps on stage at the Liverpool Empire stage on 20 and 21 July! Next week. Don't enter if you can't go.
Summertime at the Albert Dock is always a fun filled family day out. Test your bravery and go on an intrepid adventure through The BugWorld
Experience, a place that is always crawling with fun. Here you can experience the world through the eyes of a creepy crawly, take on a series of insect inspired challenges or get up close and personal with BugWorld’s own collection of insects.
The Dock also has a fantastic range of child friendly restaurants that will cater for your hungry little monsters. What’s Cooking? knows how to mix food and fun and their menu is always a hit with the kids.
You may even get to sneak in in a sly tipple of rioja.
To be in with a chance of winning the prize, all you have to do is answer the following question in the box below.
This competition has now closed. Congratulations to our winners, Mel Bailry and Andrew Cave. Karen Spooner.
